Copyright and responsibility

The National Institute of Statistics offers widespread, fast distribution of the data and analyses that it gathers from surveys and censuses. Generally speaking, all the data available on line is free of charge. Productions costs, publications (except those freely distributed), disks and cd ROMs are provided, instead, at a charge. Special personalised data processing can be requested from the Distribution Centre in Rome and from the Statistical Information Centres in each region, where the other products can also be obtained.

National Institute of Statistics data and analyses can be downloaded, used and published on the condition that the source is quoted.

The Institute's web site is managed by the Central Office for the Distribution of Culture and Statistical Information, with the collaboration of the other departments of the Institute.
